The Papers

AI-readable data rooms for fundraising

A fundraising data room investors’ AI can actually read

Put the deck, model, cap table summary and memos in one AI Data Room with an llms.txt index, so every investor’s AI analyst reads the same verified versions.

The problem

Investors run first-pass diligence with AI. A classic data room hands their tools a pile of PDFs and spreadsheets with no structure, no versions and no way to tell the current file from last month’s.

Different funds get different answers from the same documents, and you never see what their AI concluded.

How The Papers handles it

  1. Create an AI Data Room at thepapers.link/{company}. Each document gets its own permanent address and AI Version.
  2. The room has a machine index (/{company}/llms.txt and /{company}/index.md) listing every document with its status and Markdown link.
  3. Choose visibility per document: public, unlisted (link only, never indexed) or private (members only).
  4. Update a document and its address stays the same; agents always read the current verified version, and older versions remain addressable.

Checked against the source

  • every figure across deck and model
  • consistent periods and currencies
  • version and verification status on each document

Where to put the link

The first email to investors, the deck’s contact slide, or the room link in your CRM.

Not a converter

The Papers is not a PDF-to-Markdown converter. Conversion is the first step. Before an AI Version is published, its figures, currencies, dates, periods, qualifiers and formulas are checked against the original document, each value keeps a reference to its source page or cell, and anything the source does not settle is put to the document owner instead of guessed.
