AI-readable contracts and term sheets
One canonical version of the contract — for every AI that reads it
Publish contracts and term sheets as a verified AI Version: amounts, dates, parties and defined terms checked against the source, with clause-level references.
The problem
Both sides now run contracts through AI. Each side’s tool extracts amounts, dates and obligations from its own copy, and small differences become disputes.
Redlines and versions multiply; nobody can point an agent at the one current text.
How The Papers handles it
- Upload the contract (PDF or Word). Defined terms, amounts, dates and parties go into the canonical model with their source references.
- Visibility is per document: unlisted links are never listed or indexed, private documents are served only to members of your Data Room.
- Each new draft is a new version at the same address, with a change manifest.
Checked against the source
- amounts and currencies
- dates and terms
- parties
- qualifiers such as “up to”, “not exceeding”
Where to put the link
The signature email, the deal room, or the cover page of the PDF.
Not a converter
The Papers is not a PDF-to-Markdown converter. Conversion is the first step. Before an AI Version is published, its figures, currencies, dates, periods, qualifiers and formulas are checked against the original document, each value keeps a reference to its source page or cell, and anything the source does not settle is put to the document owner instead of guessed.
