AI-ready documents for M&A and due diligence
Due diligence documents that AI reviews from the same source of truth
Financial statements, customer contracts and policies as verified AI Versions with page citations, so buy-side and sell-side AI reviews start from identical, traceable text.
The problem
Both sides of a deal now run AI review over hundreds of documents. Extraction errors in either pipeline turn into questions, delays and mistrust.
Reviewers need to trace every AI-produced figure back to a page.
How The Papers handles it
- Publish the diligence set into a private Data Room; only members can read it, and private content is never stored in shared caches.
- Every metric and claim carries its source page, slide or cell, so answers can be checked in seconds.
- Ambiguous items go to the owner once, and the answer is recorded as owner-confirmed for every reader.
Checked against the source
- statement figures and subtotals
- contract amounts, dates and parties
- page citation on every value
Where to put the link
The deal room invitation and the information request list.
Not a converter
The Papers is not a PDF-to-Markdown converter. Conversion is the first step. Before an AI Version is published, its figures, currencies, dates, periods, qualifiers and formulas are checked against the original document, each value keeps a reference to its source page or cell, and anything the source does not settle is put to the document owner instead of guessed.
